Our first event post-COVID, the sun certainly shone down for us, making for spectacular golfing conditions. The day itself raised over £3,000, funds that will go directly towards supporting the ongoing development of golf at the college. We are incredibly proud of the facilities and expertise we are able to offer to our young golfers and really hope to continue to advance this over the course of the years.
In true Worksop style, the catering team delivered a fabulous meal to players after the event, all served outside, with the appropriate socially distanced measures in place. The meal followed by the hotly anticipated awards, as players fought for the much-coveted Tilley Cup!
In first place, with an impressive score of 105, the Tilley Cup was awarded to Team Beahan, made up of Mike, Maggie and Max, along with Headmaster, Dr John Price.
In second position, with an equally impressive score of 94, was Team Credland, made up of Gary and Daniel, along with Gordon Laidlaw and Simon Morgan.
And in third position with a score of 92, last year's winners from Fine and Country, made up of Mark and Tom Waterfield, along with James Stock and Ross Jarvie.
The longest drive went to Tom Bullimore and closest to the pin was won by Sue Meggitt.
A big congratulations to all our winners and thank you again to everyone for being such fantastic sports.
